We Did It! USFS Issues Favorable Final Decision

January 6, 2024

The US Forest Service issued a positive final Record of Decision approving the Stibnite Gold Project

With a positive Record of Decision in-hand, Perpetua’s Stibnite Gold Project is now among an elite class of projects in America that have cleared the strenuous NEPA review.

Perpetua started this journey in 2010 – driven by our vision that responsible redevelopment of the abandoned Stibnite mining district could create value for the environment, our communities, and all stakeholders.

After 6 years of listening and building the plan, and 8 years of formal permitting, we are finally here. And we couldn’t be more grateful for your support or more proud of what the Project represents.

The Stibnite Gold Project will accomplish so many things for Idaho and America, but we are most proud that the Project will:

  • Restore an abandoned mine site.
  • Responsibly produce the minerals America needs.
  • Provide family-wage jobs and infrastructure to rural Idaho.

Now, along with the Final Environmental Impact Statement, a favorable ROD represents a significant milestone on our path to construction readiness and helps drive the Project toward development. In early 2025 we will be focused on securing the remaining ancillary permits and construction readiness. We will keep you posted along the way.

This is where the future starts, and we’re so excited to share it with you.

It’s time for the Stibnite Gold Project!
