Every year, Idahoans come together for one day in May to support our state’s great nonprofits. Idaho Gives is a reminder that when we come together we can do amazing things. At Midas Gold, we are grateful to stand with our fellow Idahoans and support some of our favorite charities.
The organizations we are supporting this year make our communities stronger and help make our quality of life one of the best in the nation. Plus, these organizations share our same philosophy that you have to be willing to invest in the community.
It is no secret that safety has long been one of our company’s top priorities. Since 2014, we’ve dedicated 2,079 hours to safety training and that number grows every month. Today, during Idaho Gives, we are supporting our partners in safety – the Donnelly Fire Department and Valley County Search and Rescue. We are immensely grateful for the services these two organizations provide for our community.
Idaho is known for its amazing outdoors and recreational opportunities. In fact, it is the reason many of our employees call Idaho home. It is important to us that we keep Idaho green. And while we believe the Stibnite Gold Project is the right area for our mining project, we also believe some areas need to be protected. This is why we are supporting The Payette Land Trust and The Land Trust of the Treasure Valley.
Finally, we support organizations that keep our state creative. The arts bring economic value to our state, inspiration and help grow our global perspective. We are proud to be supporting the Idaho Shakespeare Festival and Seven Devils Playwright Conference.
This year, Idaho Gives is hoping to raise $1.5 million for nonprofits in every corner and sector of our state. We donated and we hope you will too!
