The City of McCall is hosting a series of meetings to discuss signing onto Midas Gold’s proposed community agreement. This is an opportunity for residents, community leaders and Midas Gold to come together to have open conversations, ask questions and clear up any misconceptions about the community agreements and the Stibnite Gold Project.
On Tuesday, October 9 the City of McCall is hosting a meeting to discuss the impacts mining can have a community. This is the second in a series of four meetings. Topics to be discussed include how mining projects can affect a community’s economy, jobs, traffic, schools and housing. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. and will be held at the Northfork Lodge. If you believe in our project and support Midas Gold, we could use your support and would love to see you at the meeting!
If you haven’t heard about our community agreements yet, you may want to check out our blog. As a company, we decided we wanted to formalize our commitment to work alongside the communities in Valley and Adams County and make sure each community was given a seat at the table and a voice throughout the life of the Stibnite Gold Project. These agreements are designed to ensure we follow through on our promises and continue to be to be a strong community partner. They are not in any way a statement of support for our project. At the end of the day, the agreements are designed to provide a venue for communities to provide direct input on how we can make the Stibnite Gold Project better and help communities coordinate solutions to any concerns that may arise.
We know individuals who oppose our project will be at these meetings in full force. Please attend and help city leaders understand McCall resident believe in the Stibnite Gold Project and support Midas Gold.
