The City of McCall is hosting a series of meetings to discuss signing onto Midas Gold’s proposed community agreement. This is an opportunity for residents, community leaders and Midas Gold to come together to have open conversations, ask questions and clear up any misconceptions about the community agreements and the Stibnite Gold Project.
The first of four meetings will be focused around our project, the impacts it may have on the community and a discussion around the community agreements and whether or not McCall should sign on. It will be held on Tuesday, September 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the McCall Public Library. If you believe in our project and support Midas Gold, we could use your support and would love to see you at the meeting!
If you haven’t heard about our community agreements yet, you may want to check out our blog. As a company, we decided we wanted to formalize our commitment to work alongside the communities in Valley and Adams County and make sure each community was given a seat at the table and a voice throughout the life of the Stibnite Gold Project. These agreements are designed to ensure we follow through on our promises and continue to be to be a strong community partner. They are not in any way a statement of support for our project. At the end of the day, the agreements are designed to provide a venue for communities to provide direct input on how we can make the Stibnite Gold Project better and help communities coordinate solutions to any concerns that may arise.
We know individuals who oppose our project will be at these meetings in full force. Please attend and help city leaders understand McCall resident believe in the Stibnite Gold Project and support Midas Gold.
