Perpetua Resources is offering a total of eleven scholarships to deserving high school seniors in 2026. Scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors living in the West Central Mountains or who are members of the Nez Perce, Shoshone Bannock, or Shoshone Paiute Tribes.
TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS
- The Perpetua Resources Community Scholarship ($1,000) (6 total) will be provided to one graduating senior per high school or homeschool program from the following area high schools: McCall- Donnelly, Cascade, New Meadows, Heartland, Council, and Riggins, Idaho.
- The Perpetua Resources Community Tribal Scholarship ($1,000) (3 total) will be provided to one graduating senior from each of the following federally recognized Idaho Tribes: Nez Perce, Shoshone Bannock, and Shoshone Paiute.
- The Ken Assmus Memorial Scholarship for Academic and Community Achievement ($4,000) (1 total) is an honorary scholarship that will be awarded to one graduating senior, chosen from the applicants eligible for the Perpetua Resource Community Scholarship and who stands out as exceptional in their academic and community achievements.
- The Alzar Scholarship ($1,000) (1 total) will be provided directly to Alzar School to support one local student to offset the cost of tuition at the Alzar School located in Cascade, Idaho.
AWARD USE
- The scholarship must be used for furthering one’s education, either at a college, university, or technical school. The money will be paid to the institution after enrollment verification has been received by Perpetua Resources for the first semester.
- This scholarship will be null and void if not utilized within the year that the scholarship is awarded.
WHO MAY APPLY
The scholarship is open to any graduating senior at the above-named high schools/homeschool programs or is an enrolled member of the above-named Idaho Tribes.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
All applicants for this scholarship must submit the following in a letter format:
The importance of this scholarship to your personal financial circumstances and your educational goals;
- Your current community involvement and accomplishments;
- Future vocational and career goals;
- Demonstration of your leadership, service, and character qualities;
- Awards or recognitions during your high school years;
- Minimum unweighted cumulative GPA of 2.70 or higher;
- Your interests and hobbies.
All applicants for this scholarship must include along with your application two letters of recommendation: (1) from a teacher and (1) from a past or present employer or community member.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Applications must be postmarked and submitted by April 1, 2025.
