Perpetua Announces Key Federal Decision to Authorize the Stibnite Gold Project
After rigorous permitting, scientific evaluation, and public input, the U.S. Forest Service announced it’s publishing the Draft Record of Decision authorizing Perpetua’s Stibnite Gold Project and the Final Environmental Impact Statement.
Both documents will be published tomorrow and the Final Record of Decision (“ROD”) is anticipated by the end of 2024.
We are so excited for this huge milestone, which comes just days before China’s restrictions on global exports of the critical mineral antimony goes into effect.
We are immensely proud of what this project can do for Idaho and our nation and deeply thankful for the incredible support we’ve received along the way.
The Stibnite Gold Project is a win-win-win. The Project is designed to:
- Restore an abandoned mine site;
- Responsibly produce the minerals we need for national defense and clean energy by being the only domestically mined source of the critical mineral antimony; and
- Provide family-wage jobs and infrastructure to rural Idaho.
It’s time.
It’s time for the Stibnite Gold Project.
