Restore the Site

Abandoned after decades of mining, the Stibnite area desperately needs repair. Through mining and economic investment, the Stibnite Gold Project will restore the water quality, landscape, fisheries and natural habitat of the area.

We are committed to creating a project that will leave the environment in better condition than we found it and making sure the resources at site can be enjoyed by future generations. While restoration is a big benefit of the project, it will also contribute millions of dollars to the local and state economies and provide hundreds of family-wage jobs to Idahoans.

Planning for the future also means saving for the future. Before mining begins, we will set aside the funds necessary to complete the environmental reclamation of the area.

Mining & the environment can work together

Perpetua Resources is defining the future of mining in America. We intentionally designed the Stibnite Gold Project so we can improve an area damaged by 100 years of mining activity while also helping grow Idaho’s economy and providing hundreds of jobs for Idaho families.

We can correct the damage of the past.

The Stibnite Gold Project site has a long history of mining.  A lot has changed since the first miners found the site more than a century ago and began the extraction of minerals critical to our national interests. Today, we understand the environmental sensitivities of the area and have increasingly high standards and strict regulations guiding our work. This area will not recover on its own. With restoration as our goal, we can use mining to rewrite the site’s legacy.

We are committed to sustainable operations from the start. Each year, we track our work and report our efforts to lower our ecological footprint, be a meaningful member of our community and a valued economic partner.

Helping the environment starts today

By focusing on lowering our ecological footprint today, we set the foundation for the Stibnite Gold Project to go above and beyond industry standards.
